AODA Responsibilities
AODA Responsibility

Provincial, state, and federal governments are establishing legislation on how we do business, teach, and interact through digital mediums. The AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) has been passed. The proposed Information and Communications Standard is expected later this year.
The proposed AODA Information and Communications Standard will require business, government, and education sectors to provide media accessibility on their web sites.
If you're an educational institution, you already have obligations to provide students with a fully accessible curriculum, including access to media.
If you're a business, don't leave customers without access to your web media. Make sure you meet the various accessibility requirements and standards locally, federally, and internationally.
If you're a government agency, keeping your web site accessible is required by the Canadian Government's Common Look and Feel Standards.
