Testimonials
As the use of multimedia started becoming more and more prominent in the classroom, we needed to figure out a way to make sure it was accessible to ALL students. After looking into a number of different sources and solutions, with little or no success, we discovered Charles Silverman's CapScribe software.
Using CapScribe, with the generous and extensive support and consultation of Charles' company, Inclusive Media and Design, we have been able to develop a sustainable, robust in-house captioning program. To date we have captioned well over 100 videos, from short online clips to full length documentaries and videos. Both students and instructors alike have been very happy with the results, and no longer are students with hearing loss effectively excluded from the classroom when the lights go down and their instructors press play on their videos.

Inclusive Media and Design worked collaboratively with the Accessibility planning group to identify how to best provide accessible digital media for OCAD’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) presentation. They did a highly professional job at captioning the videos we used and provided the final version in various accessible formats. Additionally, we worked with Inclusive Media and Design to explore themes, challenges, and approaches for moving forward with media, information and communication solutions in education at OCAD.

Our organizing committee was impressed with your quick turnaround, helpful customer service and desire to make the captioning as faithful to the dialogue as possible. The final video was provided to us in multiple formats supporting a wide range of platforms and players at no additional cost. We will certainly use your services again, especially for large or demanding projects where precision and accuracy are critical.
